SOF Week - Can I pick up badges for VIP attendees?

The SOF Week planning team has thoroughly considered this request, but unfortunately, we cannot permit badge pick-up, even for VIPs. This is due to several reasons, to include:  
- Efficient Check-In | With on-site printing available at multiple locations, attendees can get their badge immediately upon arrival, minimizing lines and streamlining the check-in process.
- Secure Access | Pre-printed badges are subject to counterfeiting and manipulation.
- Secure ID QR code | Each badge is embedded with a unique ID code that will be regenerated each time an attendee’s badge is printed. This could cause the badge printed by an attendee to be deactivated, especially with registration before the event at the AFB and TPA this year.
- Avoiding Badge Printing Errors | If an attendee’s badge was printed by someone else first and that person attempts to pick up the badge themselves, they will receive an error message and be unable to get a badge.
- Waste Reduction | If you pre-print badges and someone doesn't attend, the badge goes unused. Additionally, by only printing badges for confirmed attendees, we avoid unnecessary costs associated with overprinting and staff time.
- Flexibility for Last-Minute Changes | On-site printing allows for adjustments to attendee information, such as name changes or title updates, at registration.  It also allows the attendee to add on a session or an evening event (Welcome Reception and/or Awards Dinner).
